When you go on vacation your first thought for accommodation is usually to stay in a hotel instead of a private villa, read belwo for additional information.

You could always stay in a vacation rental villa instead for something different from your usual holiday experience. For your dream vacation to the US Virgin Islands we want to take a moment and consider why staying in St Croix vacation rentals might possibly make your trip more enjoyable.

The next thing to consider with a villa over a hotel is that you will have much more private space to lounge around in and enjoy the beauty of St Croix.  These villas are equipped with full kitchens, family rooms, and some times dining rooms.  Most of them will also have nice decking around the home with spectacular windows views that are abundant.  Many of these rentals will also have spacious grassy yard areas with some having cozy hammocks to snooze in.  Your private vacation home will be fully furnished, the kitchen will have all the utensils and equipment just like at home, and the patio will have abundant accommodations that you can enjoy at your leisure and most importantly in private. 

Your villa will usually be stocked with all of the latest home entertainment features.  Television, stereos, dvd players, video tape players are just some of the standard items you will find in just about any rental.  Some will even come with gaming systems and internet access to satisfy both teenagers and younger children.  Some of these private bungalos will also come furnished with games, books, magazines, and cds to keep you entertained during your stay.  You will usually find it standard that bathrooms and bedrooms are fully stocked with fresh bathing towels, beach towels, and linens. 

One thing to consider if you are on a budget is how much food is going to cost while you are at St Croix.  If you stay in a hotel you pretty much have to eat out for all of your meals.  If you stay in a villa you can choose to cook all of your meals there and save a boat load of money.  My wife and I will typically choose one meal per day to cook at the villa and by doing this we can save money for other activities like golf or scuba diving.  A great meal to put together at your rental is breakfast, it is easy to prepare and usually very inexpensive as well. 

Probably the most enjoyable aspect of staying at a private villa is having your very own pool to enjoy.  You don not have to worry about people partying or other disturbances around your own pool side.  You control the party, the noise level, and distractions around the pool to your very own liking.  I particularly enjoying sitting back around the pool in spacious and comfy bamboo chaise lounge while I read a book and sip a local style beverage.
